Dr. Adrian VK Wong is a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia at King’s College Hospital, London. He completed his specialist training in 2014 and is a fellow of both the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) and the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FFICM). He is a pursuing a PhD on the use of ultrasound in fluid management in the critically ill. He is a Senior Honorary Lecturer at the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine, King’s College London and an (Adj) Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya, Malaysia.

Dr. Wong is recognised internationally for his work in critical care ultrasound, particularly in venous congestion and organ perfusion. He is the Course Director for the ESICM GENIUS Ultrasound course and serves on the executive committee of the International Fluid Academy. He has held various leadership roles, including Chair of the ESICM Social Media & Digital Content Committee and is an examiner for the European Diploma of Intensive Care Medicine.

His research interests include the application of point-of-care ultrasound in critical care, clinical governance, and medical education. He has received numerous grants, including from the European Society of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine, and has published extensively in high-impact journals. He is also an editor for The Ultrasound Journal and Journal of Clinical Monitoring and Computing.

Dr. Wong is passionate about innovation in healthcare, having led several projects aimed at improving patient care and safety. These include the development of an electronic referral system for ICU and contributions to national ICU governance standards. As a mentor and educator, he regularly trains fellows, medical students, and healthcare professionals internationally. He has been awarded the Clinical Excellence Award and Outstanding Educator Award by KCH.
